Mr. Jean-Louis Chaussade became a Senior Advisor of Ceres in May 2023.

In 2020, Mr. Chaussade founded his personal advisory firm JLCh Conseil which he runs as President.

From 1978 to 2020, Mr. Chaussade held various positions within Suez, the world leading water and waste management company.

In 2019 and 2020, Mr. Chaussade was the Chairman of the Board of Suez. And for 15 years, from 2004 to 2019, Mr. Chaussade was the Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of Suez.

From 2000 to 2004, Mr. Chaussade was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Degrémont, the world leader water treatment company.

At Lyonnaise des Eaux Latin America Suez Delegate for South Cone Mr. Chaussade was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer from 2000 to 2002, and Chief Operating Officer from 1997 to 2000.

In the meantime, from 1999 to 2000, Mr. Chaussade was Vice President of Santiago de Chile’ water company EMOS, and from 1997 to 2000 Mr. Chaussade was Chief Operating Officer of Aguas Argentina.

From 1992 to 1997, Mr. Chaussade was Chief Executive Officer of Dumas Copisa, a construction company involved in civil engineering, building restoration and public infrastructure based in Spain.

Previously, in 1989 to 1992Mr. Chaussade was Chief Operating Officer of Degrémont in Spain. He joined Degrémont in 1978 in France.

Mr. Chaussade is a Director of the Board of Kaufman & Broad (the US world construction company and home builder), and of Criteria Caixa S.A.U. the investment holding company of the Caixa Bank from Spain that manages the assets of the Caixa Banking Foundation focusing its investment portfolio in strategic sectors such as banking, energy, infrastructure, services and real estate.

Mr. Chaussade is also involved with many non-profits. He is the President of the Board of the Université Technologique de Compiègne and Vice- President of the Fondation du Patrimoine.

Mr. Chaussade is a graduate from the AMP program of the Harvard Business School (U.S.), Institute d’Etudes Politiques (Sciences Po) Paris after having gotten a Msc. in Economy and graduated in Civil Engineering.

Mr. Chaussade wrote a number of books including “For the new resources, another world is possible”, “ the 100 words of water” and “ the 21st century, the century of water”.
